

Mr. Fogelson was born at home on January 14, 1929 in Netcong, NJ and lived in Fairfield from 1961 through 2022. He was a loving husband to Anne Spear, married from 1955 until her passing in December, 2022.
Ray attended Fairleigh Dickenson University and was employed by Thomas J. Lipton Company of Englewood Cliffs as a Computer-Aided Design Supervisor in Engineering. He retired after 27 years of service in 1993.
He had served In the Army as a Morse code radio operator in the Korean War and was a life member of the VFW Post 7925 in Fairfield. Ray was a member of Congregation Agudath Israel in Caldwell for over 50 years.
Ray most enjoyed working with his hands – he could fix anything. He could build furniture, tile a floor, and make stained glass. He built dollhouses and pinewood derby cars and polished up school projects for his children and grandchildren.
He is survived by his sister, Joyce Penn of Tinton Falls, NJ, and his 3 children and their families: Michele Barabash and husband Bill, grandchildren Rachel and Daniel, Robert Fogelson and wife Jean, grandson Gregory, Elizabeth Cooperhouse and husband Lou, grandsons Michael and Jeffrey, great-grandchildren Sara, Ari, and Rosalina.
Donations made in his memory to the American Heart Association would be appreciated.
A funeral for Raymond will be held Sunday, August 3, 2025 at 11am at Bernheim-Apter-Kreitzman Suburban Funeral Chapel, 68 Old Short Hills Road, Livingston, NJ 07039. The family will be receiving guests from 10:15am to 10:45am. The burial will follow at Menorah Cemetery, Passaic Ave, Clifton, NJ 07012.
