Robert M. Horowitz

Robert Murray Horowitz, known to his family and friends as “Bob”, died May 12, 2025. Born in East Orange, NJ, June 26, 1929 to the late Abraham and Ruth Horowitz. Bob graduated from Rutgers University.

Bob was a successful pharmacist and businessman, and owned a pharmacy in Fanwood, NJ called Scotchwood Pharmacy for most of his life. After he sold the business and retired, Bob and Harlene, his wife of 50 years, moved to West Palm Beach, Florida. Years later, they relocated to Los Angeles, California where he lived close to 3 of his children and 4 of his grandchildren. In 2023, they returned to Florida, this time Boca Raton, where he lived the last 2 year of his life. Bob's favorite things were playing golf, traveling, spending time with his grandchildren and watching TV with Harlene.

Bob is predeceased by his brother Jerry Horowitz. He leaves behind his loving wife, 6 children, 9 grandchildren, and 3 great grandchildren. His love for life and wonderful smile will be missed by all.

The family will be receiving guests for Robert on Sunday, May 18, 2025 from 10:15 AM to 10:45 AM at Bernheim-Apter-Kreitzman Suburban Funeral Chapel, 68 Old Short Hills Road, Livingston, New Jersey 07039, followed by a funeral service at 11:00 AM. Burial to follow at Beth David Cemetery, Kenilworth, New Jersey.
