
Seymour (Sy) Feldman died at home April 13, surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of Beverly (Shapiro) Feldman, to whom he had been married for 53 years. Born in Brooklyn, New York, he was the devoted son of the late Rev. Sandor and Freida (Gantz) Feldman. He lived in Denville, New Jersey, having previously lived in Sudbury, Massachusetts for 31 years.
He attended City College of New York, acquiring two degrees in electrical engineering, and pursued a Ph.D. in Operations Research at NYU Polytechnic School of Engineering. He enjoyed a distinguished career in the aerospace and high tech industries, retiring in 1995 after 18 years with Digital Equipment Corporation. Following his retirement, he founded his own computer service business, The Computer Doctor. He was a member of the Garden State Yacht Club, was an avid bridge player, and enjoyed extensive travel with his wife and friends.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his son, Dr. Michael Feldman and his wife Joy of East Greenwich, Rhode Island, and his daughter, Lauren Bernard and her husband Ted of New Albany, Ohio. He was the loving grandfather to Brian, Rachel, Samantha, Jessica and Evan, and the dear brother of Harvey Feldman and Arlene Kaszovitz.
