Sending my deepest condolences to Abby Richard, Evan and Alan. Watched the livestream and the beautiful tribute to Sue. She was a dear friend and I loved her. We met as freshmen at University of Delaware in 1982. We became good friends and then roommates our sophomore year. We had some great fun together and memories I’ll never forget. She transferred after her sophomore year but we remained  friends. We lost touch for a bit, but then reconnected and reacquainted with each other’s lives. Two years ago, we finally got together after 35 years…and it was amazing! It was like we saw each other yesterday. We had plans to do it again and I’m sad that we won’t have the chance. She was beautiful, kind, smart and  talented.   She loved you so much Abby,and was so proud of you. Richard, I know you brought so much love and joy into her life. 
I can’t believe she is gone and I will miss her so much.

I'm so sorry for your loss. In times when I've doubted myself and when others doubted me, I'm so glad that Susan believed in me.

Death ends a life not a relationship. She'll always be looking out for you, when you eventually get married, when you start a new job, or when times get tough. Please take all the time you need to grieve, and your friends will always be nearby to support you. Love all.

I was able to see moms service livestream.i truly enjoyed hearing about all the wonderful memories the family shared with your mom. I wish I spent more time with her at the pool. I will miss her smiling face. Sending my condolences to all. May mom rest in peace. Sending you my love and hugs.

Billy and Dian Kahn were at the service in spirit with Susan's beautiful family and many friends and admirers. A moving tribute to an amazing woman and deep soul who left too soon but will live on with us through her inspiration and love.

Our most sincere condolences to Susan’s family and Dickie. We were fortunate enough to watch the livestream from Florida this morning and listen to the wonderful stories of Susan. In meeting her at the yacht club with Dickie we found her to be such a genuine person, caring and devoted to him. She will certainly be missed by all who knew her.

Susan was a pleasure to be with. We always shared conversations at the house of a mutual friend….wonderful bbqs and dinners.  We joked about Yiddish words,  heard interesting stories about Abigail’s experience in South America.  The last time we were together she and another writer talked at length about publishing. I listened.’ So much life,  so much  to say ,  so her passing is a real shock.   May memories of her be a blessing.  Nancy Parker

Susan was my dearest friend! She was such a positive, joyful bright light. A warm, loving, beautiful human being…extraordinarily generous, kind, compassionate and empathetic, smart as a whip with an infectious laugh and luminous smile, funny, witty and creative, and always there for others especially her loved ones and friends. Sue confronted all of her challenges head-on with positivism and enormous bravery and courage! 

Sue and I would chat almost every day, multiple times a day, often into the wee hours of the morning. She was my dependable “go to”, helping me tremendously with invaluable support, advice, encouragement, and reassurance through some of my toughest personal challenges including my cancer journey. She would drive me to and from my various medical procedures, and accompany me to and actively participate during my doctors’ appointments, taking notes and asking critical questions. 

The world is surely a darker place without Susan! I am so grateful and was so blessed to have her in my life! She was an angel! My heart is broken and I will miss my dearest friend Susan terribly for the rest of my life. My deepest condolences to Richard, Abby, and Susan’s family and loved ones. May Susan’s memory be for a blessing!

Abby, I am so deeply sorry for the loss of your mom. She was so proud of you. Her face would light up whenever she talked about you and your amazing accomplishments.
I met Susan in graduate school 32 years ago, and we hit it off immediately. We remained close friends ever since. She was always there for me, and no matter how much time had passed or how busy life became, whenever we reconnected, it felt like not a minute had passed.
We helped each other through some tough times, and the positive impact she had on my life is impossible to put into words. I am so blessed to call her my friend. One of my fondest, yet simplest, memories is us studying together at my kitchen table for our final exams. We stayed up all night, ordered Chinese food, and laughed and told stories—while studying, of course.
I will miss her beautiful smile, her positive spirit, and her genuine compassion. Most of all, I will miss my dear friend.

Susan was such a special woman who displayed her kindness every time you saw her.  She enjoyed everything about being part of the yacht club family,  especially the dancing, and she will be greatly missed.  I am heartbroken by her passing and my prayers go out to her loved ones who I’m sure are hurting greatly.

What a deeply, deeply profound loss this is for your family and for all of us!  I had just spoken to her on my birthday and did luckily get a chance to say how much she meant to me!  I will always deeply treasure my friendship with her!  Abbie, the pride and joy she took in you was immeasurable!  Richard, she was always talking about the wonderful life she had with you… Evan and Alan she always knew you had her back and it gave her so much comfort!  She was fun-loving, hardworking, determined and full of life. She was a bright light to all who knew her! Susan’s light will never be diminished because she will live on through us all!

I was deeply saddened to hear about Susan’s sudden passing. We had just recently spoken, catching up and sharing life updates, which makes this loss even harder to understand. My heart feels incredibly heavy with the news.

Although we never met in person and were miles apart, I have considered her a true friend for many years. I will always remember her kindness, guidance. She made a lasting impact on my life, and I am truly grateful for the time we shared.

Please know that your family is in my thoughts during this very difficult time. I sincerely hope that God will be with them, bringing comfort, strength, and peace as they go through this period of mourning.
