Anthony David DesJardin, born in Livonia, MI and raised in Detroit, MI, the beloved son of Sharon and David DesJardin, passed away on March 5, 2024, leaving behind a legacy of loyalty, hard work, love, selflessness, and cherished memories. Tony was an entrepreneur and dedicated over 30 years of his life to his successful company, Prestige Painting Inc. In addition, he owned and managed various rental houses and apartment buildings throughout the years. His work ethic was unparalleled and he took immense pride in every project he undertook.
Beyond the realm of work, Tony was a dedicated longtime friend, loving husband, and a supportive father involved with coaching hockey and baseball and volunteering backstage at dance recitals and competitions. Tony found joy spending time and creating lasting memories traveling with his family. Highlights include honeymooning with the love of his life, Amber, in Hawaii, various family vacations, and visiting his children at Arizona State University and the University of Kentucky.
Tony had a passion for sports and was a committed Detroit sports fan supporting the Red Wings, Lions, and Tigers. He particularly enjoyed playing hockey and golf, which he did up until the time of his car accident in 2020. He loved spending time with family and friends boating and wake surfing at Whitmore Lake. Other special memories include camping, riding ATVs, and having many late-night campfires up north at Bear Lake.
Known for his selflessness, Tony was a caring and generous soul who touched the lives of those around him by helping those in need. He volunteered his painting services to various charities. He was also patriotic. His father, uncles, and cousin served or are currently serving in the military. He made it a point to regularly thank service members he encountered and donated two houses in Detroit to veterans.
To cherish his memory, Tony leaves behind his devoted wife Amber, with whom he would have celebrated 30 years of marriage in June, two wonderful children, Ryan Anthony DesJardin and Brooke Renee DesJardin, and a circle of family that meant the world to him. He is survived by two brothers, Steve (Jennie) DesJardin and Joe (Michelle) DesJardin, a sister-in-law, Julie DesJardin and brother-in-law Adam (Ginny) Holland and many nieces and nephews — Neo, Hailey, Gillian, Hannah, Tanner, Austin, Mason, Wyatt, Riley, Aiden, and Weston — who will fondly remember their uncle's support and love. In addition to his father, he is preceded in death by his brother Randy, creating a void that will be felt deeply forever by family and friends.
Memorial donations are suggested to the Brain Injury Association of Michigan. This gesture will honor his memory by supporting a cause that aligns with his compassionate spirit.
Tony will be dearly missed but never ever forgotten. May he rest in peace, surrounded by the love and cherished memories he created throughout his remarkable life.
