Arthur Ernst Schroeder, of Redford Twp., was called to his heavenly home on February 14, 2015. He was 92 years old. Arthur was born on September 9, 1922 in Detroit to Arthur O. and Elsie Schroeder. Arthur was the oldest of four siblings. He was a proud Army Veteran and served during World War II. His passions included dancing, traveling, photography, and NASCAR.
Arthur was the loving and caring brother of Betty (the late Bob) Kausch, Victor (Esther) Schroeder, and Dorene (the late Jim) Hatfield. The cherished uncle of Mark, Paula, Debbie, Annie, the late Suzie, Heidi, Johanna, the late Gretchen, Dan, the late Janine, Mark and Matt. The great-uncle of 18 and great-great-uncle of 5. Arthur's fun loving personality and smile will be missed by many.
A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, February 21, 2015 at 11:00am at Peace Lutheran Church, 9415 Merriman Road in Livonia. Friends may visit the church beginning at 10:00am. Interment will take place at Glen Eden Memorial Cemetery following the service.
