Carolyn was the beloved wife of Bruce Grefke. They shared 66 wonderful years of marriage together. She was a loving mother to Michele (Paul) Chludzinski, Laura (Keith Geiger) Lovejoy, Scott (Debbie) Grefke, and daughter-in-law Debbie Crockett. She was a proud grandmother of 10 and great-grandmother of 8.
Carolyn is also survived by her brother John (Jean) Baumert and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her daughter Lisa Crockett, son-in-law David Crockett and her sister Shirley (Paul) Hill.
Carolyn worked as a nurse before retiring. She loved reading, traveling, and camping, and was happiest spending time with her family and friends. She was a devout Catholic and a member of St.Mel and St.Thomas the Apostle (former St.Raphael’s Church).
Visitation will take place on Tuesday, June 24, 2025, from 4–8 p.m. at Harry J. Will Funeral Home. A funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, June 25, 2025, at 11 a.m. (in state at 10:30 a.m.) at Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church. She will be laid to rest at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
Carolyn will be missed dearly and remembered with love.
