

While growing up in Hamtramck with his parents and brothers, Cass attended St. Ladislaus graduating in 1944. He went on to join the US Navy and served his country honorably during WWII.
In 1950 Cass married Irene in Hamtramck, Michigan. They worked together to raise their three children until she passed away in June of 1973. He later married Jane who also predeceased him.
Cass lived throughout the Metro Detroit area and worked as a Michigan State Trooper. Later in life he was transfered to the Reed City area, where he eventually retired. In his free time Cass loved spending his time fishing and supporting the Detroit Lions. He was active in his community as a member of the Moose Lodge and Knights of Columbus. A devote Catholic, Cass was a parishioner of St. Phillip Neri Catholic Church in Reed City.
Cass is survived by his cherished children Deb (Ken) Normand, Elizabeth (Terry) Firby and John (Angie) Erbin, 4 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife Irene and 2nd wife Jane and brothers Henry Gulick, Anthony Gulick and Edward Gulick.
Cass's family will receive friends on Sunday October 4, 2012 from 4-9 pm with a Vigil Service 7:30 pm at the Harry J. Will Funeral Home, 37000 Six Mile Rd. (east of Newburgh and I-275) in Livonia.
He will lie in state on Monday October 8, 2012 from 9:30 am until the time of his Funeral Mass, officiated by Fr. Gary Michalik, at 10 am at St. Colette Catholic Church, 17600 Newburgh Rd. (just north of Six Mile Rd.) in Livonia.
He will be laid to rest at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Southfield, Michigan.
