Charles Charley Christian Krueger Jr.

Mr. Charles Christian Krueger, Jr., age 80 known to all as "Charley" passed away on December 2, 2011. He was born September 17, 1931 in Detroit, Michigan, the son of Charles C. and Gertrude W. Krueger (nee Klotz). He graduated from Redford High School in 1949 and in 1953 from Michigan State University in East Lansing. He is survived by his wife Carolyn M. Krueger (nee Hill) whom he married on September 6, 1952. Charley is also survived by his sons Charles W. and Robert C. (Lee Ann Overhiser) and daughter Karen M. (John) Zimmerman (nee Krueger). He had four cherished grandchildren Cody Krueger, Carolyn, Elizabeth and Jack Zimmerman.

Mr. Krueger was Vice President of Engineering at McIntosh Division of Masco Industries. He retired following 34 years of service. Formerly he had been with General Motors. Charlie was a member of Fellowship Presbyterian Church of Livonia, a First Lieutenant of the U.S. Air Force, the Society of Automotive Engineers, Redford Metropolitan Lodge #152 F&AM, Moslem Shriners, Phi Delta Theta Fraternity and the MSU Alumni Association. His hobby was woodworking and many family members and friends have the projects he made with loving care.

Friends may visit Charley's family on Tuesday December 6, 2011 from 4-9 pm at the Harry J. Will Funeral Home, located at 37000 W. Six Mile in Livonia, Michigan 48152. The funeral home is on the north side of W. Six Mile and east of I-275 and Newburgh Roads.

Mr. Krueger will lie in state Wednesday December 7, 2011 from 10 am until his funeral service at 11 am at Fellowship Presbyterian Church, located at 16360 Hubbard in Livonia, Michigan 48154. The church shares a facility with St. Andrew Episcopal Church and is located between W. Five and W. Six Mile and Farmington and Merriman Roads.

Charles will be laid to rest at Rural Hill Cemetery in Northville, Michigan after his committal and U.S. Air Force Military Honors Service.
