With heavy hearts, we share the passing of Charles “Charlie” Michael Laiacono, who left us far too soon on October 27, 2025, at the age of 49. Born on February 13, 1976, to Cheryl and Frank Laiacono Sr., Charlie lived a life filled with love, laughter, hard work, and devotion to his family and friends.
Charlie was the beloved husband of Lindsay, and the proud, loving father of Isabella and Sofia, his greatest joys and proudest accomplishments. He was the cherished brother of Frank (Stacy) Laiacono Jr., Blaise (Megan) Laiacono, and Michael (Alaina) Laiacono, and a devoted uncle to Shelby (Rob), Mia, Mandy, Blaise Jr., Gianno, Cameron, Michael Jr., Tessa, and Dean, as well as a loving great-uncle to Leora, Sylvia, and Brayden. Charlie was also dearly loved by his extended family, his mother-in-law Karen Bailey, brother-in-law Derek (Sarah) Bailey, and niece Alle, and he will be lovingly remembered alongside the late Ella.
A proud graduate of Franklin High School in Livonia, Charlie went on to build a successful business, Motor City Sheet Metal, which he ran for 15 years. He took great pride in his work and had immense respect and affection for the men who worked alongside him. His work ethic, leadership, and kindness left a lasting mark on everyone he encountered.
Charlie, or “Chuck” as many knew him, had a passion for life and an easygoing charm that drew people in. He was a lifelong University of Michigan fan and loved talking sports of all kinds, he seemed to know every stat, score, and story. Whether he was traveling, grilling, enjoying old cars, or simply spending time with family, Charlie approached life with enthusiasm and a big heart. Above all, his world revolved around Isabella and Sofia, and he cherished every moment with them.
Family and friends are invited to celebrate Charlie’s life on Saturday, November 8, 2025, with visitation beginning at 11:00 a.m. and a service at 1:00 p.m. at Harry J. Will Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Charlie’s honor to the American Heart Association.
Charlie will be remembered for his generous spirit, his laughter, his love for family, and the countless ways he made the world a better place. His presence will be deeply missed, but his legacy of love and warmth will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
