David married his beloved wife, Roberta Ann DuMont, on February 15, 1974 and together they raised five children. David was a man of deep faith who lived his life in service to God, his family, and his community. He was an active and devoted member of St. Aidan’s Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus, where he served as Director of Memberships. His faith was evident not only in his church involvement but in the way he treated others with kindness, generosity, and genuine care.
David volunteered with many organizations throughout his life and was especially known for the quality time he spent with others. Warm, approachable, and sincere, David had a way of making people feel welcome; once you met him, you considered him a friend.
Family was the center of David’s life. He adored his children and was deeply involved in the lives of his grandchildren. He rarely missed a sporting event or performance and was proudly known as their loudest cheerleader. He also treasured the time he spent babysitting his grandchildren, creating memories they will cherish forever.
David lived life to the fullest. He loved hunting and fishing and found great joy and peace spending time in the woods and outdoors.
David is survived by his loving wife, Roberta Ann DuMont; his children Thomas (Allison) DuMont, Maureen (Danny) O’Bannon, JoAnne (Brian) Van Heck, Gregory (Megan) DuMont, and Lauren DuMont; and his cherished grandchildren Brenna, Joshua, Luke, Isabella, Bejar, Skylar, Charlotte, Madison, Olivia, Peyton, Delaney, and Asa.
He is also survived by his siblings John (Mary), Steve (Rose), Kevin (Karen), Mark, Jean (Butch) King, Michael (Tonia); his sisters-in-law Cheryl, Patricia Green (Dale) and Nancy Sussman (Mike); and the many friends he made over the years.
In addition to his parents, David is preceded in death by his brother James DuMont.
