

David Starinsky Jr., born on October 24, 1964, in Livonia, Michigan, to the late David and Mary (Middleton) Starinsky, passed away on August 17, 2024, at the age of 59. David was a beloved husband, brother, uncle, and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
David married the love of his life, Deborah on May 23, 1992, with whom he shared many joyful years. He was an avid sports fan, with a particular passion for football, baseball, and hockey. While David cheered for many teams, his heart belonged to the Pittsburgh Steelers. He also rooted for the Detroit Lions and Tigers and was a proud supporter of Michigan State University athletics. His enthusiasm for sports extended beyond watching; David participated in fantasy football and enjoyed collecting sports memorabilia.
David had a special place in his heart for his nieces and nephews, and he loved attending their sporting events, always there to support and encourage them. He was known for his love of grilling, with hotdogs being his favorite, and enjoyed spending time in his garage and yard. Even through his illness, David could often be found blowing leaves or picking weeds, always finding ways to stay active and engaged.
A man who appreciated the simple joys of life, David loved decorating his home for the holidays and took pride in creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere. He also cherished his travels to Pennsylvania, where his parents were from, finding a deep connection to the place and its people.
David leaves behind his devoted wife, Deborah, and his loving siblings: Marsha (Carl) Giroux, Diane (Ed) Kursa, Daniel (Ann) Starinsky, and Tanya (Karl) Fischer. He is also survived by his in-laws: Stephen (Tammy) Kokoski, Sandra Marciniak , Andrea Brzys, Fred Marciniak, and lifelong friend Calvin Carano along with 4 nieces, 8 nephews, and 2 great-nieces who will carry on his memory.
David was preceded in death by his parents, David and Mary Starinsky.
A memorial in state for David will be held on Tuesday, August 27, 2024, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at St. Edith Catholic Church, 15089 Newburgh Rd, Livonia, Michigan 48154, followed by a memorial mass at 11:00 AM.
David's warmth, humor, and unwavering spirit will be remembered by all who were fortunate enough to know him. May he rest in peace.
