Dean H. & Linda Jo Reinke

Linda Jo Reinke, age 61, of Plymouth, Michigan passed away on Wednesday, October 30, 2024. Linda was born March 17, 1963, in Detroit, Michigan to the late Dennis and Gwendolyn Tuomi. Loving sister of Bruce (Barb) Tuomi, Pauline Tuomi, Debbie Mosher, Neil (Jenni) Tuomi, Patrice (Martin) Kemp, Ruth (late Mike) Bruton, and Tom (Darlene) Tuomi. She will also be missed by many nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews. She was preceded by her sister Brenda (Mark) Litka.

Linda was also preceded in passing by her husband of 25 years, Dean. She and Dean were married June 27, 1998. Dean H. Reinke was born March 10, 1948 to the late Herbert and Helen Reinke. He passed away May 11, 2023 surrounded by his loved ones. Dean was the beloved father of Shelly (Steve) Rouillard. Dean was preceded in passing by his children Dean "Dewey" and Becky Reinke, as well as his brother Earl (Mary) Reinke. He spent his career in road construction, mainly in concrete. He was an exceptional woodworker and an avid outdoorsman. He especially enjoyed his many hunting trips up north to his "shack".

Linda graduated from Detroit Lutheran High School West, class of 1981. She then attended Wayne State University where she earned her Bachelor's Degree in Interior Design. Her admiration for Frank Lloyd Wright and Norman Rockwell sparked her passion for design and architecture. She worked various jobs throughout her career, mostly in retail management.

She was a lifetime member of Salem Evangelical Lutheran Church in Westland, Michigan, where she was baptized, confirmed, and married. Dean immediately became a member after their wedding.

Linda enjoyed crafting and scrapbooking, cooking new recipes, and spending time with her nieces and nephews, three of which were her Godchildren. She had a great sense of humor and loved watching old movies and television. She and Dean were passionate about camping at Hass Lake and dancing.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in their memory may be directed to Salem Evangelical Lutheran Church. A memorial will be held on Saturday, November 16, at 1:00pm at the church, 32430 Ann Arbor Trail, Westland, Michigan 48185.
