Age 57, passed away May 9, 2013. He was born on March 1, 1956, the son of the late James and Betty Elwell. Dennis called Livonia home, it was where he lived and worked. He was the kind of guy that would give you the shirt off his back, had a great sense of humor and always made friends easily. He was a Detroit sports fan, whether it was the Tigers, Red Wings or Lions, you would always find him watching and rooting them on, occasionally there might be a friendly wager. Dennis will be missed greatly by his family and friends. He is survived by his eight siblings: Jim (May) Elwell, John (Ellen) Elwell, Fred (Linda) Elwell, Frank (Patricia) Elwell, Bill (Laura) Elwell, Bette Jo Whitacre (Earl), Barry (Debbie) Elwell, Carol Grochowicz (Barry), and 23 nieces and nephews in addition to many great nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held Saturday, May 25, 2013 at 1:00 pm at Harry J. Will Funeral Home, 37000 W. Six Mile Rd., Livonia, MI. Friends and family will begin gathering at 11:00 a.m., casual attire.
