Dolores "Dee" Burke

Born and raised in Highland Park, Dolores worked a variety of jobs as a young lady. Upon meeting the love of her life, Larry Burke, she dedicated her life to caring for and raising her family. In 1959, Larry was offered a position within the Livonia Fire Department and they moved their family to Livonia. A long time passion for bowling led Dee to Merribowl where she played for over 51 years. Active in the leagues at Merribowl, she served as the league president for 20 years. With a fun loving and slightly competitive spirit, Dee also enjoyed a good game of Bingo with friends.

She was a kind, loving and compassionate friend, mother and grandmother who will be deeply missed by all those who were fortunate enough to know her.

Dee was the cherished wife of the late Larry. Loving mother of Diane (James) Hill and Kathy (Randy) Burling. Proud Nana of Steve, Nicole, Adam, Susan and Jessica and GG of Megan, Justin, Emma, Kaylee and Arrie.

Dolores' family will receive friends for visitation on Monday February 6, 2017 from 3-8 pm and Tuesday February 7, 2017 from 9:30 am, until her life is celebrated at 10:30 am, at the Harry J. Will Funeral Home, 37000 Six Mile Rd. (east of Newburgh and I-275) in Livonia.

She will be laid to rest next to the love of her life at Parkview Cemetery in Livonia, Michigan.
