

Donald O. Beaudoin, 86 of Dearborn Heights, passed away Friday, August 14, 2020. Don was born on June 12, 1934 in Detroit, Michigan to Omer & Catherine (Behan) Beaudoin. Don was the first of their four children. He graduated in 1952 from St. Leo High School in Detroit and received his Bachelor of Science from Lawrence Technological University in 1977. He was a U.S. Army veteran. Don enjoyed a 53-year career with the Ford Motor Company starting as an Machine Repair Apprentice and finishing his career at the Woodhaven Stamping Plant as the Plant Safety Engineer. Don was a member in good standing with the American Society of Safety Engineers. His daughter said he was a "...handy-man like nobody's business and seemed to own every tool known to man". His passion was his work and to be the family's provider. He was more than successful in that way. A friend suggested to Marilynn Cassidy that she join a bowling league and there she met Don in 1963. Don looked up to Marilynn as the better bowler. They married at St. John Bosco in Redford, Michigan on October 17, 1964. Together they welcomed three children to their family and raised them in Dearborn Heights. He was a member of the George F. Monaghan Council #2690 Knights of Columbus, now in Livonia, formerly in Detroit. Mr. Beaudoin was a proud member of the American Legion.
Mr. Beaudoin is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Marilynn. Children, Mary Catherine Beaudoin, Colleen (Gerry) Vento, Matthew (Katie) Beaudoin; grandchildren, Collin Beaudoin, Alexander Vento, Caitlynn Beaudoin, Anna Vento, Connor Beaudoin, Dominic Vento, Julia Vento, and Nathan Beaudoin; brother, John "Jack" Beaudoin, and sister, Suzanne (Dennis) Aron.
In addition to his parents, Don was predeceased by his brother and sister-in-law, Thomas (Eileen) Beaudoin.
Family and friends may visit from 3:00 - 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 18, 2020 (with a rosary recitation at 7:00 p.m.) at Harry J. Will Funeral Home 37000 West Six Mile Road, Livonia, MI 48152. Visitation continues on Wednesday, August 19, 2020 from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the Mass of the Resurrection at 10:00 a.m., at Church of the Divine Child, 1055 Silvery Lane (South of Ford Road, East of Gulley Road), Dearborn, MI 48128.
