Donald J. Sherman

As it must to all men, death came on February 2, 2015 to Donald J. Sherman, a resident of Lansing and Northville. He is survived by his loving wife of 67 years Glenna, cherished children Gregory, Michael, Jane, Anne, John, Jaclyn and Kate. Proud grandpa of 12 and great-grandpa of 12. Also survived by dear sister Patricia Ann Slivensky of Lansing.

Don was a WWII veteran, a graduate of Michigan State University and a 28 year employee of Ford Motor Company's Public Relations staff, retiring in 1989.

Don was an avid reader, an enthusiastic if inept golfer, a witty conversationalist and a fun guy to be around whether at work or play. He also was a winner of the little known but prestigious Mott B. Health Invitational Golf Tournament.

Don's family will receive friends for a Memorial Visitation on Thursday February 5, 2015 from 3-8 pm at the Harry J. Will Funeral Home, 37000 Six Mile Rd. (east of Newburgh and I-275) in Livonia.

His life will be celebrated with a Memorial Mass on Friday February 6, 2015 at 10:30 am, with in state 10 am at St. Kenneth Catholic Church, 14951 Haggerty Rd (south of Five Mile Rd.) in Plymouth.
