Donna Marie Lazarz

Donna Lazarz, a vibrant spirit and a beacon of honesty and humor, passed away on August 21, 2024 at the age of 86. Donna was a force of nature, known for her boundless energy, sharp wit, and unwavering resilience. Wife to the late Thomas Lazarz for 61 years. Donna’s life was a testament to strength and enduring love.

A devoted mother to four children, Michael, the late Daniel, the late Kurt, and Dawn. Loving sister to Helen. Grandmother of Kasey, Lindsay, and Marley. Cherished aunt to many nieces and nephews. Beloved childhood friend to Emelie. Donna’s life was marked by both profound joy and deep sorrow. She faced the loss of two of her children with unmatched courage, embodying resilience that has truly inspired everyone around her.

Donna was renowned for her impeccable style, jewelry, and long, polished nails. She was always seen with perfectly applied makeup, bright pink lipstick, and always filled a room with the smell of her signature Opium perfume. She had an extraordinary knack for making every occasion special, whether through her humor-filled birthday cards or her flawless gift wrapping (especially bowmaking). Her home was a reflection of her care, both inside and out. She even ironed her bed sheets. She had a reputation as the go-to expert for removing clothing stains.

Her sense of humor and “tell it like it is” approach were legendary, offering friends and family alike a refreshing blend of true honesty and laughter. Donna’s warmth extended beyond her immediate family; she was loved and cherished by her friends and neighbors, many of who thought of her as family. She was known for her selflessness, often putting the needs of others before her own and leaving a lasting impact on everyone she met. Her laugh, bluntness, and overall charisma were unforgettable.

Donna’s life was a celebration of love, laughter, wit, strength, and impeccable style. Her memory will forever be cherished by those fortunate enough to have known her. Her unique spirit and permanent mark on those around her ensure that there will never be another quite like Donna Lazarz. She will be deeply missed. May she Rest In Peace.

A visitation will be held Wednesday, August 28, from 6:00-8:00pm at Harry J Will Funeral Home, 37000 Six Mile, Livonia, MI 48152. Friends and family will continue to gather Thursday, August 29, beginning at 10:30am until her celebration of life at 11:00am. She will be laid to rest at Glen Eden Memorial Park.
