Eileen Louise McIntyre

Eileen graduated from Cody High School in Detroit and married her High School Sweetheart, Ray McIntyre. She was a loving wife and mother, school mother, sales representative at J.C. Penny for over 25 years. Eileen was involved in many activities, events, and family functions. She loved to travel, laugh, teach, learn, and have a ton of fun. Her laugh was unmistakable, and her smile let you know she loved you.

Eileen was preceded in death by her parents, Richard and Ellaura Betzoldt Globke; husband, Ray McIntyre, who was the love of her life; two brothers Clarence (Bernice) Globke, Richard (Frances) Globke; one sister Beatrice Globke (Robert) Austin; two grandsons Dennis Sowders Jr. and Denton Sowders.

Surviving are her daughters Donna Spiers (Gary) Dunn, Janice McIntyre, and Denise McIntyre Sowders; three grandchildren Jennifer (Francis) Saylor, Amanda (Brad) Baughman, Dennison (Ashley) Sowders; seven great-grandchildren Cecilia, Sydney and Giuseppi DellaSavia, Gabriel Sowders, Benjamin and Alexandra Spiers, and Nariah Sowders; Ray Overall and Nancy McIntyre numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins; multiple “unadopted” grandchildren and great-grandchildren, extended family, and friends.

She was dearly loved and will be greatly missed, but never forgotten.

The family will receive friends from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm on Friday, March 29, 2024. Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 pm (in state 12:00 pm) on March 30, 2024, at Harry J. Will Funeral Home- Livonia Chapel. . Burial will follow services at Grand Lawn Cemetery, Detroit, MI.
