Emil F. Werner was born June 28, 1931 in Detroit, Michigan and died July 21, 2012 in St. Helen, Michigan. He was the former owner of the New Castle Bar in Detroit and retired from Leaseway Transportation as an accountant. Emil was a big Detroit Tiger fan and loved to read the newspapers every day.
He was preceded in death by his parents the late Emil and Tessie Werner and his brother the late James. He is survived by his brother Robert "Bob" and was the wonderful uncle to Curtis (Candy), Gregg (Sally), Sheryl (Mike) Gutenkunst and Gail.
Friends may visit Emil's family during a visitation in his honor on Wednesday July 25, 2012 from 3 pm until 8 pm and on Thursday July 26, 2012 from 10 am until his funeral service at 11 am at the Harry J. Will Funeral Home, 37000 W. Six Mile in Livonia, Michigan 48152. The funeral home is located on the north side of W. Six Mile, east of I-275 and Newburgh Road.
Emil will be laid to rest with his family at Glen Eden Memorial Park in Livonia, Michigan.
