Emmanuel Azzopardi

Emmanuel Azzopardi was born on December 25, 1931 in Vittoriosa, Malta to the late Francis and Aristea Azzopardi. He passed away on April 27, 2013 in Livonia, Michigan at the age of 81 with his family by his side.

Emmanuel was a wonderful, caring man. He loved to laugh and could always find something to joke about. A devote Catholic he was a long time member of St. Edith Catholic Church in Livonia where he was very active in the parish. Emmanuel was a retiree of Ford Motor Company. In his free time and retirement years he enjoyed keeping busy. One of his favorite pass times was woodworking. Above all else though, Emmanuel was a family man who loved his wife, kids and grandkids with all his heart.

He was the loving husband of Dolores for 52 years. Cherished father of Frances (Richard) Hoffman and Lara (Jeff) Long. Beloved Papa of Nicole (Noah) Schooler, Richie (Alicia) Hoffman, Thomas Hoffman, Angela Long and Jubus.

The family will receive friends on Sunday May 5, 2013 from 2-9 pm, with a Rosary Service 7 pm at the Harry J. Will Funeral Home, 37000 Six Mile Rd. (east of Newburgh and I-275) in Livonia.

Emmanuel will lie in state from 10 am until the time of his Funeral Mass, 10:30 am at St. Edith Catholic Church, 15089 Newburgh Rd. (south of Five Mile Rd) in Livonia.

He will be laid to rest at Holy Sepulchre Catholic Cemetery in Southfield, Michigan.
