I met Fidell Sr. many times through his son Fidell Jr.  at company parties and a few special times on Jr’s boat! Oh Sr. was such a fun loving person.  We were able to talk about life’s stories and his family! Sr spoke of his family with love and pride, the family is what mattered to him taking on and giving of himself to extend family members he spoke of them with such love and pride!  And yes, Sr was a Godly man and you could see God in Sr’s actions and words!
This world was a better place with Fidell Sr. in it!

Extending our heartfelt condolences to Maria and the entire Cashero family on the Fidsel Cashero Sr. Passing away. I knew Fidel from the last 40 years.  He was a great friend and an unbelievable human being. He was very religious man with a big heart.  He always helped the poor and the needy. He always tried to uplift the lives of others by his own example. 
He was a man of integrity and carried his business throuhout his life with great professionalism and honesty. He served his country very well during the 2nd World War for our freedom. He was a very humble man and very unassuming.
I cherished his friendship to the last moment.  May God rest his soul in peace  and give Maria and his family lots of strength and courage to bear this irreparable loss.

Only met him a few time, but remember the humor and excitement about building renovation projects "referred to rust as brown gold". : )

I met fidell a. cashero, sr. ("senior" as he was called then) nearly 50 years ago. we were introduced by douglas a. reaume,sr., a quality corporate insurance expert. senior decided to give me a chance at some legal work and he asked me to prepare a will for his mother (Josie). he must have been impressed with my work, because a bit later he hired me to do some personal estate planning work for himself, and later he hired me to work as corporate counsel for the grunwell cashero co.  when I first wen to his office, I was most impressed by the picture of Jesus Christ which was affixed to the wall behind his desk. to this day I have never seen a business man's office with a picture like that. senior was a Christian who was not embarrassed to tell others how he felt about his faith. after we got to know each other better, I discovered that he gave a huge amount of his earnings each year to charitable causes. we had many memorable meetings at GIOVANNIS RESTAURANTE. senior had his private room there. he introduced me to FRAN to whom I was a vision of her father. ever since we have become fast friends. next to my home GIOVANNIS is my favorite Italian restaurant in the Detroit area. I handled many legal matters for GCC over the many years. at his request, I assisted senior in the transition of the control of the business to family members. it is now into the 3rd generation of the cashero family. thanks to senior, GCC is now a most successful family owned business. thanks to senior, GCC holds a reputation in the restoration business as a quality company, exhibiting honest and integrity. if it is broke they fix it. if they make a mistake, they make it right at no extra cost to their customers. these are qualities foreign to most business today. fidell also took many trips to many places telling "HIS STORY" of success to many other people. he was a humble man who influenced many people to do good. he was a giver, not a taker. even near the end of his life, he took another family in and assisted in giving them hope and a decent living. his war experience never left him. he told me numerous stories of his man to man combat in Italy for a long time. his life was spared because GOD had a plan for senior, and he certainly lived that plan out for many years thereafter. and, so now senior takes his rightful place in HEAVEN. Thanks for all you did for me, senior. I am eternally grateful. you were a friend first, and a great client second. I will never forget you. may you rest in GOD'S eternal peace. your friend, gene deagostino

I will always remember Mr. Cashero as the first person to introduce me to Cadillacs!  Growing up in the neighborhood, he always had one or two in the garage, and I will never forget him handing me the keys to his Cadillac Deville and letting me drive it over to Laurel's house on the day that Laurel and Scott got married!  He was always helping out the local kids in the neighborhood by offering them jobs at Grunwell Cashero either as summer jobs or full-time employment.  He had an air about him, but always treated us kids with kindness.  He will be missed by many and I will always remember him fondly.

Fidell  Senior was a wonderful man husband father grandfather and great grandfather, may you rest in  peace say hi to Devon.

May he Rest in peace  Fidel Cashero.my deepest  condolence go to  Miss. Riita Maria Cashero  and family. He will be miss so dearly.  He was a very good man  we will.miss his war stories his stores he use to tell us about his business.
