Francene Yarnevich

She was the loving sister of Janice (Bob) Modes, Carol (Bob) Delbeke, and Robert Yarnevich. Beloved aunt of Bob (Joan), Ann, Michael (Meg), John (Roberta), Kathi (Dan), Joan (Patrick), Mary (late Steve), Paul (Robyn), Bob (Kerri), Danielle, and Leslie (Carl).

Fran was preceded in passing by her parents, as well as her brother, Peter II, her nephew, Peter III, and her niece, Shannon.

Francene was a proud graduate of St. Mary's of Redford High School, class of 1958. She went on to spend 41 years at Detroit Edison. What started as an entry-level position became an accomplished career as a pioneer for the Banking & Cash Management division of the company. Fran was deeply respected by colleagues and employees for maintaining high standards and fair treatment. She also played softball on the company's team.

Outside of work, Fran was known for her love of gambling and annual casino trips that brought her to various places, such as Niagara Falls. Most importantly, she will be remembered for her generous spirit. She valued time spent with her nieces and nephews and cared for them as her own.

An in state will be held on Wednesday, November 26, from 10:30 am to 11:00 am at St Colette Catholic Church, 17600 Newburgh Rd, Livonia, MI 48152, followed by a funeral mass beginning at 11:00 am.
