Frances "Fran" Fontana Recinella

To help support her family Fran worked in purchasing at St. Mary Mercy Hospital in Livonia. In her free time she loved to stay active. Although she played golf, her favorite sport to partake in was bowling. For a night in she loved to play cards, especially pinochle and in her late years while at Villages of Westland Rose Cottage she began doing crafts, creating beautiful things. Above all else Fran loved her family. Her grandkids and great-grandkids were the highlight of her life and hearing stories of what they were up to made her day. A loving and kindhearted woman, Frances will be missed by all those who knew her.

Frances was the loving wife of the late John Fontana who preceded her in death in 1973. In 1992 she again found love marrying Silvio Recinella, who preceded her in death in 2014. Fran is survived by her beloved children Lawrence (Janice) Fontana, Louise (Jerry) Davis and Mary (Raymond) Sousa. Cherished grandchildren Marie Elaina O'Brien, Marisa Fontana, Cara Sherman, Lisa Moss, Jason Hall, Todd Sousa, Jeff Sousa, Kevin Sousa and Andrea Sousa, 15 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandson. She is also survived by her dear brother Philip Maniscalchi and many loving nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

Fran's family will receive friends for visitation on Wednesday December 28, 2016 from 3-8 pm with a Vigil Service at 7 pm, at the Harry J. Will Funeral Home, 37000 Six Mile Rd. (east of Newburgh and I-275) in Livonia. Her life will be celebrated with a Funeral Mass on Thursday December 29, 2016 at 10 am, with in state 9:30 am, at St. Colette Catholic Church, 17500 Newburgh Rd. (north of Six Mile Rd) in Livonia.

Frances will be laid to rest at Holy Sepulchre Catholic Cemetery in Southfield, Michigan.
