Gregory (Greg) G. Adams passed away peacefully on Monday, March 26, 2018 at the age of 68 after a long 6-month illness. Greg was born April 29, 1949 in Plymouth, MI, where he lived most of his adult life. He moved to the Nashville, TN, area in the early 1990’s where he resided until his death.
He graduated from Kendall Institute of Design (Grand Rapids, MI) with a degree in Interior Design. Where many people only saw four walls, Greg always saw a blank canvas. An Interior Designer for over 40 years, he never passed up an opportunity to improve a space. He had the mentality of leaving a space better than he found it and recognized that people’s comfort and happiness were greatly influenced by their surroundings. He had a keen eye for architecture and interior design and worked his magic in residential and commercial spaces.
Greg was one of five children born to the late Bernard and Genevieve Adams. He is survived, and will forever be remembered, by his loving sister, Deborah Adams (Ronald Malone), brothers Roland (Joanne), Steven (Lanni), nieces Carrie Panetta (Dennis), Jeanne Dedes, nephews David Adams (Keith Brooker), Craig Adams, Mark Adams (Joan), Terry Adams, Jeff Adams (Roseanne), James Adams, Stephen Valente (Kelly), Daniel Valente (Emily), 18 great-nieces and nephews, great-great nieces and nephews, and other family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Bernard and Genevieve (Lania) Adams, sister Jeanne Ann (birth), grand-parents Jacob and Victoria (Lania) Zygmunt and Helen (Maciejewski) Dziak and loving sister-in-law, Beverly (first wife of brother, Steven).
The funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., April 5 in the chapel at Glen Eden Lutheran Memorial Park. Entombment will follow.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to St. Jude Research Hospital.
