Helen Joyce McEvilly

Helen Joyce was born Calumet, MI, on March 24, 1929, the daughter of James and Helen Murphy. She married Patrick J. McEvilly on October 17, 1953 in Detroit, MI. He preceded her in death on May 10, 2004. She was a Homemaker and was a member of St. Agatha and St. Alexander Parishes.

Helen is survived by her 5 children Patrick Jr. (Darby) McEvilly, Nancy (Rick) Spence, Mary Kathleen McEvilly, Julie (Terry) Wagner, and Dan (Donna) McEvilly; 13 Grandchildren, and 10 Great Grandchildren.

Survived by her loving extended family which includes many nieces and nephews, lifetime friends, and her supportive and loving brother-in-law Dick McEvilly.

She was named American Hospital Association Volunteer Excellence person of the year for her efforts as a Volunteer leader for the Botsford Hospital Guild. She was also dedicated to the St. Vincent de Paul Society, as well as a long time Eucharistic Minister for St. Alexanders Church.

Funeral services will be at 11am, Saturday, December 21st at Harry J. Will Funeral Home in Livonia. Visitation will be held at the Funeral Home on December 20th from 4pm-8pm, and on Saturday from 10am until the service.
