Henry Susewitz

Henry Susewitz, age 96, of Garden City, Michigan passed away on Friday, February 25, 2022. Henry was born in Detroit on January 14, 1926 to Henry and Catherine Susewitz. He met the love of his life Helen and they married August 14, 1948.

Henry was preceded in death by his wife of 70 years Helen and grandson Kory.

Loving father of Cherie Huyser, David (Catherine) Susewitz and Dennis (Linda) Susewitz. Grandfather of Brian (Stephanie) Clelland, Tammy Osterink, Kelly (Ali) Shakoor and Kyle (Jennifer) Susewitz. Great grandfather of Chase, Kasey and Madison Osterink, Zachary Clelland, Lianna and Iman Shakoor and Michael Henry Susewitz.

Henry was very proud of his service in the United States Navy During World War II. He served on the USS Scott Destroyer Escort which included 16 successful trips across the Atlantic.

Henry was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

A visitation for Henry will be held Monday, March 7, 2022 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Harry J Will Funeral Homes, 37000 W. Six Mile Road, Livonia, Michigan 48152.
