Jerry was born June 29, 1940 in Dearborn, Michigan the third son of Frank and Stella Witalec. He retired from Chrysler after 34 years of service. He loved fishing, boating, gardening, bowling and miniature golfing. Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his immediate family.
Jerry was preceded in death by his parents and his two brothers Woody and Len.
He is survived by his loving wife Joanne, his son Jim, daughter Janet and grandson Nathan. Jerry will also be missed by Tammie and her son Kyle.
Friends may visit Jerry’s family 2-8 pm on Thursday April 28, 2011 at the Harry J. Will Funeral Home, 37000 W. Six Mile, Livonia, Michigan 48152 and 10 am Friday until his funeral service at 11 am at the funeral home.
Jerry will be laid to rest at St. Hedwig Cemetery in Dearborn Heights, Michigan.
In lieu of flowers, Jerry’s family asks that memorials be made in his honor to Angela Hospice for a tree and plaque in his memory, to Angela Hospice itself or to the American Cancer Society. You may click on the link to donate to either organization.
