Joseph Maiorana Sr.

Joseph Maiorana Sr. was born on February 3, 1933 in Detroit, Michigan to the late Gaspare and Frances Maiorana. He passed away suddenly on November 11, 2015 in his Naples, Florida home at the age of 82.

In August 1957, Joseph married his beloved wife Mary Ann. Together they raised their children in Livonia, Michigan. In 1968 Joe continued the family's business, Maiorana Orchards started by his parents in 1945 . With Mary Ann by his side, they created the incredibly successful Livonia landmark, Joe's Produce. Joe and Mary Ann moved to Northville in 1988 near Meadowbrook Country Club where they were longtime members and enjoyed playing Golf and socializing with their friends and neighbors.

In 1997 Joe and Mary Ann retired and moved to Bonita Springs, Florida where they enjoyed life in the beautiful, warm weather.

Joe was the beloved husband of Mary Ann for 56 years. She proceeded him in death in April 2014. Loving father to Joe (Cathy), Chuck (Sue) and Carolynn (Frank). Proud Papa to Joe, Ashley, Franco & Vinny. Dear brother to Vince Maiorana, Cass Maiorana and the late Rose Zwitch Keehl.

Joseph's family will receive friends for visitation on Wednesday November 18, 2015 from 5-8 pm and on Thursday November 19, 2015 from 2-8 pm at the Harry J. Will Funeral Home, 37000 Six Mile Rd. in Livonia, Michigan. His life will be celebrated with a Funeral Mass at 10:30 am, with in state 10 am, on Friday November 20, 2015 at St. Kenneth Catholic Church, 14951 Haggerty Rd. (south of Five Mile Rd) in Plymouth.

Joseph will be laid to rest with Mary Ann at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Southfield, Michigan.
