He was the loving husband of Dorothy for 62 years. Cherished father of Christine (Victor) Kanta, Gregory (Vikki), Barbara (Gary) Smith, Mark, and Susan (Greg) Sobeck. Beloved grandfather of 17 and Great-grandfather of 6. Also survived by 3 siblings.
The family will receive friends on Sunday November 17, 2013 from 3-9 pm with a Vigil Service 7 pm and a VFW Service 7:30 pm at the Harry J. Will Funeral Home, 37000 Six Mile Rd. (east of Newburgh and I-275) in Livonia.
He will lie in state on Monday November 18, 2013 from 9:30 am until the time of his Funeral Mass, 10 am at St. Colette Catholic Church, 17600 Newburgh Rd. (north of Six Mile Rd) in Livonia.
Joe will be laid to rest at Holy Sepulchre Catholic Cemetery in Southfield.
