Ken lived a life full of passion, kindness, and quiet strength. On October 25, 1997, he married the love of his life, Marianne, and together they shared countless memories, traveling and fishing all over the world. A true outdoorsman at heart, Ken found peace on the water. He was an avid fisherman who not only loved the serenity of casting a line but also passed that love on to his daughters, teaching each of them how to fish. When he wasn’t fishing, Ken enjoyed playing guitar and spending time with his family.
Ken is survived by his beloved wife Marianne and his five children: Jamie L. (John) Eberwein Kerri E. (Kenny) Abbott, Katie L. (Jonathan Clark) Hasper, Jennifer A. (John) Moore, and Michelle A. (Joe) Matson. He was a proud and loving grandfather to Jackson, Jordan, Jonah, Kylah, Keelan, Kolton, Keller, Joseph, Finn, Kennedy, Quinn, Avery (Kiersten), Luke, Jude, Emilia, Megan, Emily, Elizabeth, and Meredith.
He is also survived by his sister, Lois (Robert) Palmer, and nieces Michelle (Chad) Kellums and Heather Dattolo.
Ken was preceded in death by his parents, his brother John Hasper, and his beloved daughter Vanessa Laco-Chambers.
Memorial donations in Ken’s honor can be made to Angela Hospice and the Michigan Parkinson Foundation.
Ken will be remembered for his charismatic spirit, generous heart, and unwavering love for his family. He cast a wide net of love and adventure in his lifetime, and those who knew him were better in some way for it.
A visitation for Kenneth will be held Monday, June 23, 2025 from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM at Harry J. Will Funeral Home, 37000 W Six Mile Road, Livonia, MI 48152, followed by a funeral service at 4:00 PM.
