Lena Louise Dirusso

Lena Louise DiRusso, age 101, of Livonia, Michigan, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 2, 2024, surrounded by her loving family. Lena lived a long and fulfilling life, leaving behind a legacy of love, kindness, and cherished memories. She was the beloved wife of the late John DiRusso, with whom she shared many wonderful years of marriage, building a family and a life full of love and happiness.

Lena was a devoted and loving mother to Richard DiRusso, Rene DiRusso, and Jerry DiRusso. She raised her children with unwavering love, support, and guidance, instilling in them the values of hard work, kindness, and the importance of family. As a grandmother, Lena was affectionately known as "Noni" to Richard Arthur John DiRusso, Lisa DiRusso, Jason (Becky) Habecker, Anthony Habecker, Matt (Erin) Habecker, Nicholas DiRusso, Vincent DiRusso, and Dominic DiRusso. She took immense pride and joy in being a part of their lives, always offering a listening ear, a warm hug, and words of wisdom.

Lena's love extended even further as a great-grandmother to Madelyn, Cameron, Alyssa, Maddox, Olivia, and Ari. She delighted in watching them grow, play, and achieve their milestones, always cheering them on with a heart full of pride and joy.

Lena had a passion for gardening, finding peace and beauty in tending to her flowers and plants. Her garden was a testament to her nurturing spirit and her love for nature. An avid fan of the Detroit Red Wings, Lena enjoyed cheering on her favorite team, sharing the excitement of the game with her family. However, her greatest joy came from watching her grandchildren play sports. She was their biggest fan, never missing a game or an opportunity to show her support.
