Born on July 5, 1948, in Detroit, Michigan, Lynda lived a faith-based life that began as a child attending Church with her parents, Russell & Valerie Campbell, and actively participated in Sunday School & Youth Groups.
Lynda pursued her calling, caring for others, at a young age. She completed a cooperative program in healthcare and worked at Redford Community Hospital after graduation from Thurston High School.
In 1967, she selflessly volunteered at Henry Ford Hospital, assisting & giving aid to those in need during the Detroit Riots. Later in 1973, she joined the United States Army. She proudly served, stationed in Germany as an Obstetric Nurse. Her Nursing career continued for many years stateside, after serving her country.
Lynda’s compassion to help others endured throughout her life; and regardless of many health challenges, her empathy and unselfish giving took precedence. Her steadfast faith in the Lord fostered her untroubled spirit, and she will be remembered for the selfless generosity she shared with others.
Lynda is preceded in death by her parents, and her brothers Douglas and David Campbell. She is survived by her son, Russell Martin and his wife Jessica; granddaughters Halee, Elizabeth and Kaileigh; sisters-in-law Sharon Campbell and Dianne Campbell; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
A graveside service will be held at a later date. Memorial gifts may be given to Henry Ford Health for research and science honoring her memory. Please keep her family and friends in your prayers.
