

Lynne Ellen Larmee, born May 21, 1948, to William and Lillian Wolfe in Westland, Michigan, passed away peacefully on July 17, 2024, at the age of 76. She was the beloved wife of Larry Larmee, loving mother of Jeffrey (Holly) Larmee, and cherished grandmother of Jordan and Nicholas Larmee. Lynne was preceded in death by her siblings, Nancy Wolfe, Maryann Christian, and William Wolfe.
A long-time resident and active member of Clarenceville United Methodist Church in Livonia, and the former Youth Director for the Westland Free Methodist Church. Lynne's life was marked by her deep commitment to helping others. She dedicated much of time to volunteering, particularly through her passionate work at the church's food pantry, where she made a significant impact in her community. Lynne will be remembered for her generous giving to those in need.
Lynne started her career as a proud staff member for the University of Michigan undergraduate library, later attending Eastern Michigan University to study early Childhood Development. After starting a family. Lynne played a pivotal role as a coordinator for EF and Nacel Foreign Exchange Student programs, fostering cultural understanding and friendship for high school students from all over the world for over 15 years. Lynne & Larry hosted countless students in their home over the years, creating lifelong friendships.
Lynne found great joy in music, especially singing church hymns as a valued member of the church choir, Her voice uplifted congregations and her spirit shone brightly through her love for music and her faith.
Lynne will be remembered not only for her warmth, generosity, and unwavering kindness towards everyone she met but also as a great mother and wife who made her family her first priority. Her days were woven with care and dedication, ensuring that her son and husband felt cherished and supported in every moment. From joyful family outings to quiet evenings spent together, Lynne's nurturing presence was the heartbeat of their home.
A Celebration of Lynne's life will be held at Clarenceville United Methodist Church in Livonia on Saturday, July 27, 2024, at 11 am, with visitation starting at 10 am. A luncheon will follow the service in the fellowship hall of church, providing an opportunity for family and friends to come together in loving memory of Lynne's life and legacy.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to the Clarenceville United Methodist Church Food Pantry in Lynne's honor, continuing her legacy of caring for others in need.
Lynne Ellen Larmee's memory will forever remain in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to have known her.
