Marie Winifred Plumer

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Marie W. Plumer, who left us on August 11, 2024, at the age of 87. Born on November 24, 1936, in Detroit, Marie was a beloved spouse, mother, grandmother, and friend whose life was marked by her humor, kindness, and boundless care for those around her.

Marie was the heart and soul of her family, always ready with a comforting word or a joke to lift spirits. Her laughter was infectious, and her warm presence was a source of strength and joy for all who knew her. As a mother and grandmother, she dedicated her life to nurturing her loved ones, teaching them the values of compassion, resilience, and love.

Those who were fortunate enough to cross her path knew her as a beacon of kindness.

Whether she was offering a helping hand or a listening ear, Marie touched countless lives with her generosity and thoughtfulness. Her caring nature extended beyond her family, as she was always ready to support friends and neighbors, making her community a better place through her acts of kindness.

Marie will be deeply missed by her family, who will forever cherish the memories of her humor, her kindness, and her unwavering love.

Marie is survived by her daughter Heather Plumer-Haun, adored son-in-law Peter Haun and grandchildren Declan and Megan. She was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years Richard Plumer and her parents Patrick and Alice Ford. While we mourn her loss, we also celebrate the remarkable life she lived and the joy she brought to so many.

Marie’s family will receive visitors at the Livonia Chapel of the Harry J. Will Funeral Homes, 37000 Six Mile Road, Livonia, Michigan 48152 on Wednesday, August 14th from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm. A Funeral Mass will take place at 11:00 am on Thursday, August 15th at St. Edith Catholic Church, 15089 Newburgh Road, Livonia, Michigan 48154. In accordance with Marie’s wishes, cremation will follow.
