

Mel was born on March 3, 1932, to George Delwin Fulcher and Hazel Madeline Jane Fulcher. He proudly served in the United States Army during the Korean War and was a valued member of the veteran community. Mel enjoyed the camaraderie of the Elks Club and took great pride in his service and friendships.
Mel will be remembered for his deep love of family and his willingness to lend a helping hand whenever it was needed. He delighted in teasing his grandchildren and spending time with them. Mel especially cherished being on the water—he loved water skiing and watching his children, grandchildren and great-grandson, Tyler water ski as well.
A true car enthusiast, Mel was proud of his vintage cars and trucks. He enjoyed attending car shows and was honored to win trophies for his prized vehicles.
Services Visitation will be held on April 27, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Harry J. Will Funeral Home, 37000 Six Mile Road, Livonia, Michigan 48152. A service will follow at 11:00 a.m.
Interment will take place at Great Lakes National Cemetery, 4200 Belford Road, Holly, Michigan 48442.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Veterans Treasurer’s Office, c/o Veterans, 500 Lake Street, Roscommon, Michigan 48653.
Following the cemetery service, family and friends will gather at Villagers, 1121 N Saginaw St., Holly, Michigan 48442, to celebrate the blessed life of Mel Fulcher.
