Norman leaves behind his devoted wife, Joyce Greig, with whom he shared over 60 years of love and partnership. He was a proud and loving father to Scott (Nancy) Greig, April (Nello) Santori, and Catherine (Kerry Tillman) Greig. He was an adoring grandfather who took great pride in his grandchildren: Alexandra Greig, Chloe Greig, Hannah Greig, Joshua Santori, Madison Santori, Trevor Tillman, and Kaden Tillman. Norman is also survived by his dear brother, James (Charlotte) Greig, who shared many wonderful memories with him throughout the years.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Norman and Isabella Greig, whose values and guidance shaped his life, and by his sister, Janet Bavier, with whom he shared a deep sibling bond.
Norman lived a life filled with passion, creativity, and adventure. A member of the Ford Mercury Restorers Club and the Beulah Boosters, he was known for his enthusiasm for classic car restorations, particularly his beloved red Corvette. Norman’s interests extended far beyond cars—he was a man of many talents and hobbies. He loved scuba diving, hiking, windsurfing, and sailing, and he found great peace in biking around the scenic trails of Crystal Lake. A skilled craftsman, Norman had a knack for building and creating, leaving behind countless projects that stand as a testament to his ingenuity.
He also had a creative side, finding joy in drawing and art. His appreciation for the natural world and his adventurous spirit inspired those who knew him, and he will be remembered for his curiosity, humor, and generous heart.
A memorial gathering to honor Norman’s extraordinary life will be held on Friday, February 7, 2025, from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Harry J. Will Funeral Homes, 37000 W. Six Mile Road, Livonia, Michigan 48152.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Norman’s memory to the Alzheimer’s Association, supporting research and resources for those impacted by the disease.
