She was the beloved wife of Kenneth Grossmann for over 57 beautiful years. If it were up to Ken, their time together would have no end. Together, they built a life full of laughter, friendship, and unwavering devotion. Pamela was the loving and supportive mother of Jeff (Kathie) Grossmann and Paige (Jeremy) Nicholson, and the proud grandmother of Lauren Grossmann and Campbell Nicholson, each of whom brought her tremendous joy. She was a dear sister to Robert (Theresa) Grill and a caring sister-in-law to Mark Warfe.
Pamela is preceded in death by her parents, James and Frances Grill; her sister, Cynthia Warfe; and her cherished grandson, Matthew Grossmann, whose memory she held close to her heart every day.
A gifted artist and a patient teacher, Pamela shared her creativity with the community for over 40 years, offering art instruction to both children and adults throughout Plymouth and Livonia. Her talent extended across many mediums, including watercolor and ink, and she was especially known for her detailed ink drawings composed of tiny dots that slowly formed stunning, complete images. Her passion was not just in creating art, but in nurturing it in others. Over the years, she even had the joy of teaching the children of former students—something she considered a great honor.
She had a special fondness for travel, particularly trips to Las Vegas. Pamela loved soaking in the vibrant atmosphere more than anything else the city had to offer. Twice-a-year getaways to Vegas and Florida became a tradition for her and Ken—though Pamela often playfully campaigned for two Vegas trips instead. These vacations were treasured times filled with shared memories and lighthearted adventure.
Pamela also had a keen mind and a competitive spirit, which she brought to the bridge table. For more than 25 years, she and Ken enjoyed being part of a bridge club with close couple friends. The laughter, strategy, and camaraderie they shared became a cherished part of their life together.
Pamela will be remembered for her talent, warmth, quiet strength, and the love she gave so freely. Her presence was a gift, and her impact will be felt always by those who knew and loved her.
A private celebration of life will be held in her honor.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, in memory of her beloved grandson, Matthew Grossmann.
