Patricia M. "Patty" Flannery, 54, of Wayne (formerly of Garden City), passed away on Friday, August 16, 2019 at home surrounded by her loving family and beloved dogs, Trigger and Sunny. Patty was born on September 30, 1964 in Aurora, Illinois to William and Patricia (nee: Koch) Koehler. She was the youngest of their three children. Patty spent her youth growing up in Garden City, graduating from Garden City High School in 1983. She met her husband, Pat, in 1982 at the shop owned by her father. Patty was an avid pet owner and lover. She volunteered with her dog Max in the "Pet-a-Pet" program where she visited disabled children and adults who needed a little extra love. Family and friends recall that Patty never complained about her issues with MS, always focusing on others with her big heart. She enjoyed rainy days and when outside could never stay out of the puddles!
Patty is survived by her husband of 29+ years, Patrick; father, Bill Koehler; brother, Billy Koehler; father-in-law, Gary (Jane) Flannery, brothers-in-law, John (Lisa) and Tom (Denise) Flannery; nephews, Danny, Anthony, Nick, and Alex; nieces, Maggie, Abby, Emma, Mackenzie, and Sarah.
Patty was pre-deceased by her mother, Patricia Koehler and sister, Beth Bullock.
Friends may visit on Tuesday, August 20, 2019 from 3:00 - 8:00 p.m. at Harry J. Will Funeral Home 37000 West Six Mile Road, Livonia, MI 48152. Visitation continues on Wednesday, August 21, 2019 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home.
Burial will be at Cadillac Memorial Gardens West in Westland.
