Loving Wife of Vincent for 66 years. Cherished Mother of Virginia (Dennis) Werner, Laraine (George) Walowich, Frank (Deborah) Moceri and Linda (Gary) Pieron. Beloved Grandma of Amy (Luke)Kiebler, Anne (Joshua)Shupe, Emily (Peter) Wasserman, Vince Moceri, Natalie (Jonathan) Klar, Ashley Pieron, Nicholas Pieron and Brandon Pieron. Precious Great Grandma of John Anthony Shupe.
She was preceded in death by her parents Peter and Laura Calcagno, her brother Charles Calcagno, Aunt Antonina Barbera and her beloved granddaughter Julie Werner.
Pauline attended Marygrove College where she earned her Bachelors Degree in Education. She taught in the Detroit public and parochial schools. Her greatest joy in life was being with family and she made sure each of her children and grandchildren felt special and loved. Pauline was also very excited to become a great grandmother. She was fortunate to have many wonderful travel experiences with her husband and she loved her trip to the Holy Land. Pauline had a love for dogs, and when she no longer had her own she looked forward to seeing her children and grandchildren's dogs.
After her children were grown, Pauline spent time with church activities, attending weekday masses with her girlfriends from St Coleman’s and going for coffee afterwards. She enjoyed being a lecturer and Eucharistic minister. Pauline and Vince became snowbirds going to Florida for the winter, and they made many wonderful friends.
Pauline along with her husband, children and grandchildren were members of the Italian American Club. When they moved to Livonia they enjoyed attending many events previous to her decline in health.
In addition to her immediate family, Pauline is survived by her sister in laws Josephine Macera and Elizabeth Calcagno. She has many loved nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and friends.
She loved traditions and created many wonderful memories for her family.
A visitation for Pauline will be held Thursday, August 20, 2020 from 4:30 PM to 8:00 PM at Harry J Will Funeral Homes, 37000 W. Six Mile Road, Livonia, Michigan 48152.
