

Ray C. Cochran was born July 22, 1926 in Union, Missouri, the youngest of eleven children of Allen and Sylvia Cochran. He graduated from Detroit Bible College and married the love of his life, Vivian Moore shortly after. Ray was a hard working man and frequently worked two jobs or held a job while in school. He was a mechanic and operated his own business, Ray and Mike's Gas Station in Redford, Michigan.
Ray loved bowling and enjoyed watching sports, especially baseball. He was a patient, quiet and kind man who often gave to those in need without seeking any attention or praise. He will be remembered as a hard-working man and a wonderful husband, father and grandfather.
Ray was preceded in death by his parents and nine of his eleven siblings. He is survived by his beloved wife of 64 years, Vivian Cochran and their four children Cynthia (Glenn) Barnhart, David (Carla) Cochran, Michael (Laura) Cochran and Rebecca (Rod) Sayegh. He is also survived by his grandchildren Shaun, Jeremy, Daniel, Joye, Elizabeth, Matthew, Joshua, Tyler, Seth, Nathan and Hannah and great grandchildren Sarah, Michaela, Gabrailla and Adrianna. He is the brother of Ruth Montieth and Bessie Fenton.
Friends may visit Ray's family on Thursday September 22, 2011 from 4 pm until 9 pm at the Harry J. Will Funeral Home, located at 37000 W. Six Mile in Livonia, Michigan 48152. Ray's funeral service will be at 11 am on Friday September 23, 2011 at the funeral home. Harry J. Will is located on the north side of Six Mile and east of I-275 and Newburgh Road.
Ray will be laid to rest at the Oakland Hills Memorial Gardens in Novi, Michigan.
