

Robert L. Hayward, of Farmington Hills, passed away on November 11, 2014. He was 92 years old. Robert was born March 5, 1922, in Detroit to Selma and Cecil Hayward. Robert was a proud graduate of Lawrence Technological University and the Ford Trade School.
Robert was a dedicated employee of the Ford Motor Company for 44 years. His time spent with Ford including building B-24 bombers at the Willow Run Plant during WWII and a career in Body Engineering in Dearborn, Michigan.
Robert was the loving father of Robert L. (Karen) Hayward, Richard H. Hayward, Connie M. LaHousse, Susan L. (John) Hayward-Butler, Gregg M. (Deb) Hayward, Judy H. (Michael) Nash and Randall S. (Penny) Hayward. A devoted grandfather of Carrie, Brian, Jason, Jeffrey, Jonathan, Shane, Sean, Ryan, Lindsay, the late John Richard, Justin, Dana, Joni, Mark, Brent, Graham, Alexander and Zachary. And caring great grandfather of Hilde, Jonah, Theodore, Hannah, Eliana, Amelia, Micah, Vaughn, Gavin, Lily Beth, Natasha, Penelope, and Arianna.
Robert was preceded in death by his first wife Marguerite Anne Hayward, his second wife Marion Etta Hayward, his sister Virginia Donaldson and his parents.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 15, 2014 from 11 to 2pm at Harry J. Will Funeral Home, 37000 Six Mile Road, in Livonia. A Funeral Service will take place on Saturday at 2:00pm at the funeral home.
