

Robert Leslie Robinson, affectionately known as “Bob,” passed away on September 11, 2025, at the age of 84. Born on August 17, 1941, in Detroit, Michigan, Bob was the beloved son of the late Leslie and Stella Robinson.
Bob was the devoted husband of Lyuba, with whom he shared many cherished years filled with love, travel, and joyful memories. He was a proud and loving stepfather to Kosta Usatyi, Oksana Nebeska, and Iryna Somich, and a caring grandfather to their children—Alaina, Matthew, Artam, and Tima—who brought him endless pride and happiness. He is also survived by his loving siblings, Jackie (Paul) Furtak and Tom (Sue) Robinson, and was a treasured uncle to Tom (Julie), Janet (Dean), Jason (Megan), David (Tracey), and great uncle of Madison (Trent), Morgan, Aidan ,Sam, and Erin. Bob's family and friends remember him as a kind-hearted, dependable, and thoughtful man who made a lasting impression on everyone he met.
Bob graduated from Cody High School in Detroit and received his Master's in Engineering from Wayne State University, he had a long and accomplished career as an engineer with the Detroit Arsenal Tank Plant in Warren, Michigan, where he earned great respect for his dedication and expertise. Outside of work, he was an avid sports enthusiast who enjoyed golfing, watching baseball, and cheering on his favorite football teams. He and Lyuba loved traveling across the United States and around the world, often spending time at their second home in Florida and enjoying many memorable vacations together.
Bob’s sense of humor, steady presence, and warm friendship will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
A memorial gathering will be held on Friday, September 19, 2025, at Harry J. Will Funeral Home from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM, with a memorial service beginning at 2:00 PM.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital
