Ronald S. York

Ronald S. York, age 79, passed away on February 20, 2017 at Providence Park Hospital following a brief illness. He leaves behind his wife, Nancy (Benesh) York of 57 years. His two children, son Darrin York and his wife Maryjean Hamilton York; and daughter Karnis (York) Lamirand and her husband Scott Lamirand. His six grandchildren: Alex, Carrie, Kyle, Jordyn, Mallory and Garrett and his siblings Ann and John. Ronald was preceded in death by his sisters Julie, Catherine, and Millie. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Born and raised in Detroit, he was welcomed into the world on April 26, 1937 by Peter and Frances Yovich. He attended Thomas M. Cooley High School and served in the United States Air Force Reserves. He married Nancy in 1959, and lived with his beloved family in Livonia and Plymouth. Ronald was employed by Venture Industries and Art Van Furniture.

A Funeral Service will take place on Saturday, February 25, 2017 at 10:30 am at Harry J. Will Funeral Home, 37000 Six Mile Road in Livonia. Visitation for Ronald will take place on Friday, February 24, 2017 from 5:00 pm until 9:00 pm and Saturday, February 25, 2017 from 10:00 am until the time of service at 10:30 am. Following services at the funeral home, a procession with take place to Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Southfield, Michigan.
