

Rosemary L. Zynda, 96, of Chelsea (formerly of Lakeland, Florida, and Dearborn, Michigan), passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 30, 2020, with her loving family at her side. Rosemary was born on January 20, 1924, in Detroit, Michigan, one of eight children born to Edward and Matilda Purrenhage. She graduated from St. Catherine High School in Detroit. She enjoyed a career in retail sales at Montgomery Ward and J.L. Hudson. Rosemary was an avid reader, enjoyed spending time with her family, and loved to garden.
Rosemary is survived by her children, Susan A. (Glenn Anderson) Klein, Christopher J. (Bonnie) Zynda, Daniel J. (Mary) Zynda, James R. (Robin) Zynda, Michael G. Zynda; step-children, Jeanne Crisman (Charles-deceased), Marilyn (Tom) Cushing, Sr. Judy Zynda O.P., Mary (Jerry) Collins, Tom (MaryEllen) Zynda, Pat (Joel) Slezak, Clare (John) Pendergrast, John (Elizabeth) Zynda, and David (Anne) Zynda. Rosemary was loved by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. She is also survived by her dear sister-in-law Susan (Glaspie) Purrenhage. She will be greatly missed by her beloved "Scooby" who brought her great joy.
Mrs. Zynda was pre-deceased by her husbands Daniel J. Zynda & John R. Zynda; brothers William, Ralph, Edward, James, and Earl Purrenhage and sisters, Ruth Haas, and Helen Cirocco; son-in-law, Allen Klein; daughter-in-law, Carol Zynda.
Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. with a 7:00 prayer service on Monday, October 5, 2020, at Harry J. Will Funeral Home 37000 West Six Mile Road, Livonia, Michigan 48152. Visitation continues on Tuesday, October 6, 2020, from 10:30 a.m. until the time of Mass at 11:00 a.m. at St. Edith Catholic Church 15089 Newburgh Rd, Livonia, MI 48154. There will be a private Interment on Wednesday at Assumption Grotto Cemetery 13770 Gratiot Ave, Detroit, MI 48205.
Due to COVID 19 precautions, Social distancing will be practiced, and face masks are required. Since the visitation will be an outdoor venue, please dress accordingly.
Memorials may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
