Sharon was a beloved mother to Heather (Jon) Godlewski; a cherished grandmother to Kirsten (Joel) Trzeciak and Carmin (Jay Woelke) Oard; and a doting great-grandmother to Emilia, Adeline, and Isabelle Trzeciak. She was the dear sister of Donna (Norma) Lyttle, Carol (Jeff) Smith, and Sandra (Ed Zimney) Schubach, and a loving aunt to many nieces and nephews.
Sharon graduated from Plymouth High School and went on to earn her nursing degree from Schoolcraft College. She later completed her bachelor’s degree at Madonna University in Allied Health Management. Sharon dedicated her professional life to caring for others, beginning as a bedside nurse in neonatology and later working in Infection Prevention. She proudly retired from St. Mary Mercy Hospital in Livonia after many years of compassionate service.
A longtime and devoted parishioner of St. Michael Lutheran Church in Wayne, Sharon found comfort, strength, and community in her faith.
She was fortunate to share a lasting friendship with a group of cherished women, lovingly known as the “Ya-ya’s,” who ultimately became more like family than friends.
Sharon enjoyed baking and crocheting and was happiest when surrounded by those she loved. Above all else, she adored her three great-granddaughters, who held an especially dear place in her heart.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at a later date.
Sharon will be remembered for her kindness, her dedication to others, and the love she shared so freely with family and friends.
