

Steve Stevens was born in Detroit, Michigan on October 7, 1930, the son of Harold and Virginia Stevens. He lived in the Detroit area for his entire life, spending summers when he was younger working on his uncle's farm.
Steve was a car guy. Throughout his life he loved owning and buying cars, talking about cars, especially at the New Five Auto Parts store in Livonia, but more than anything he loved washing, caring for and spoiling his cars. Friends of his would always bring prospective vehicle purchases to him to make sure they got his seal of approval. Steve was also a Harley-Davidson man and loved going for rides with his friends and going to car shows as well. He was also a gifted man when it comes to working with his hands. He creatively and artistically built mailboxes and pump houses for his family.
Steve was a friendly jokester and made friends with whoever he met wherever he went. He attended North Ridge Church and will be missed by his friends at the church and at New Five.
Steve was preceded in death by his wives the late Elizabeth Vittone and the late Jan Cadwell. He is survived by his two daughters Cheryl (Jerry) Dobbs and Michelle (Randy (a friend of Steve's since Randy was 13)) Werner. He is the devoted grandfather to David, Craig (Jen), Elizabeth (Steve), Austin and Dylan and the great grandfather of Rylie, Lily and Brynn. He is also survived by his brother Marvin (Peggy) Stevens.
Friends may visit Steve's family during a visitation in his honor on Friday June 1, 2012 from 12-8 pm at the Harry J. Will Funeral Home located at 37000 W. Six Mile in Livonia, Michigan 48152. His funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Saturday June 2, 2012 with the Rev. Wayne Kurtycz officiating. Friends may visit from 10 am until his funeral ceremony at 11 am. The funeral home is located on the north side of W. Six Mile, east of I-275 and Newburgh Road.
He will be laid to rest with his family at Parkview Memorial Cemetery in Livonia, Michigan.
