Born on February 25, 1957, to Beverly and Theodore Kenczyk, Steven grew into a man known for his quiet wisdom, gentle humor, and warm, welcoming spirit. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Mark Kenczyk, and is lovingly remembered by his sister, Kim Nice, and his devoted husband, David Gleneski.
Steven and David met twenty-eight years ago during a night out with friends—a serendipitous meeting that blossomed into a lifelong partnership. Their bond was immediate and enduring. In time, they married in Canada and spent ten joyful years in marriage, building a life filled with laughter, shared adventures, and unconditional love.
Steven proudly served in the United States Air Force from 1974 to 1977, dedicating himself to his country during his early adult years. His service reflected the same integrity and commitment that he carried throughout his life.
Steven had a deep appreciation for the simple, beautiful things in life. He loved traveling with David, especially to places like Disney World and Epcot in Orlando, where they found wonder and joy together. One of their favorite trips was to San Francisco, where they enjoyed the sights and made cherished memories. Closer to home, Steven found peace in nature—sitting on the porch by the lake, watching the birds, and taking in the serenity that surrounded him.
He was a man who treasured love, valued connection, and embraced the world with open arms and a kind heart. His presence was a comfort, his smile a light, and his memory a blessing.
In accordance with Steven’s wishes, cremation has taken place.
