Born on June 5, 1953, Sue was raised in Dearborn, Michigan, and attended St. Alphonsus Catholic School and graduated from Dearborn Fordson High School in 1971. She went on to build a rewarding career at Raymond James Financial, where she worked for 20 years. Suzanne took great pride in her work and treasured the friendships she formed with her coworkers. Her dedication, loyalty, and strong work ethic were admired by all who knew her.
Above all else, Sue’s heart belonged to her family. She was a devoted mother to her son, James (Katherine), and a proud, loving grandmother to Alexis, Claire, James, and Jack. She was their number one fan—always rooting for them at their swim meets, cheer competitions, baseball games, and running events. Her encouragement, love, and belief in her family inspired them to strive for their best, a legacy that continues to shape their success today.
Sue was married to Jim Jolly for 23 years; they remained close friends and continued to enjoy time together with their family, a testament to their lasting respect and care for one another. She is also survived by her loving brother Robert (Lori) and sister-in-law Linda, and many nieces and nephews.
Sue was predeceased by her grandson, Gabriel; her parents, Joseph and Ann Pruchnik; and her brother, Joseph. Though her health challenges were great, her spirit, humor, and effort never faded.
Christmas was Sue’s favorite time of year, and she delighted in spoiling her grandchildren and transforming her home into a festive masterpiece—spreading joy, warmth, and the true holiday spirit to all who visited.
The family extends their deepest gratitude to the doctors, nurses, and caregivers who provided such compassionate care throughout her illness, and to all who offered her comfort, kindness, and a smile along the way.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Sue’s memory to the Livonia Goodfellows, supporting their mission “No Child Without a Christmas,” a cause dear to her heart.
A visitation will be held Wednesday, October 22nd from 4pm-8pm with a Rosary Service at 7pm at Harry J. Will Funeral Home in Livonia. A funeral mass at St. Alphonsus-St. Clement Parish in Dearborn will be held Thursday, October 23rd at 11am to celebrate Sue’s life. Her family and friends will forever remember her for her love, perseverance, and the joy she brought to everyone around her.
