Tony C. Lombardo, 91, of Canton, passed away on Friday, September 10, 2021.

Tony was born in Chattanooga, Tennessee on March 8, 1930 to Carl and Rosa Lombardo, their only child. At age three, the family moved to Sicily where they raised Tony until he moved to the United States at age 21. Tony entered the U.S. Army where he served honorably in Europe. Upon discharge from the Army, Tony moved to Michigan and attended Barber College. He barbered with a friend at his friend's shop. Later, he had saved enough to go on his own and opened his shop in 1961. During this time he met and married Antoinette on June 1, 1957. They made their home in Detroit, where they raised their three children, later moved to Canton. He maintained and operated his Barber Shop for 60 years until the age of 89. When he wasn't working he enjoyed the quiet solitude of oil painting. He also thrived on spending time with his wife, children and grandchildren with various trips and vacations. Tony also spent some time golfing with friends and "meeting the breakfast group" before work most days. Tony lived a life of great humor, kindness, and generosity. He loved being around people, being social, and making friends wherever he went.

Tony is survived by his wife of 64 years, Antoinette (nee: Palmeri); son, Carl (Fran) Lombardo; daughters, RoseAnne (Tony) Russo and Maria Lombardo; grandchildren, Tony Lombardo, Julia Lombardo (Chris), Robert Russo, Andriana Russo, Reno Russo.

Tony my friend I will miss you so much. You were truly one of my favorite customer/friend. We had so many laughs and i loved your visits to the bank every week. (even when you had no banking to do ). I enjoyed our cup of coffee and visits to the barbershop when i use to stop by with the coffee. Thanks for the 40 years of banking and being there to listen to me like a Dad and friend. You are forever in my heart. Love Nancy

I feel peace in knowing that Tony and Michael are together again. Hopefully they are having breakfast at the Merc and laughing it up! Katy and I will forever be grateful that Tony gave Michael his last haircut. Love from us to you and your family.

I will always remember Tony and how he and his wife Antonette danced on the dance floor. I loved watching them. Their dancing always memorized me. Tony was such a super guy. He loved his nationality and came every week to our Mazara club faithfully. He came from the west side and we met on the east side. I loved talking to Tony and the stories he told. My heart and prayers go to his family at this time.
